My name is Lucio graziano, I was Born in 1970, I'm a licenced Environmental Guide since 2009. I worked for 14 years in the environmental sector, as a consultant I was engaged in European projects and policies, promoting nature, landscape and biodiversity protection...
Now as a tour leader I think I'm doing more or less the same job, but instead of doing it on paper, I do it directly with my hikes' guests. My desire is to share my love for nature and the landscape, pointing out how they have been shaped in time and how man have been affecting them.
My job is to design tours in significant nature and landscape spots, study on field and on literature the areas's highlights: the geology, botany, archaeology, history, traditions, etc. and make a synthesis of the most interesting informations to tell, keeping just the ones that are related to the visible landscape.
In 2014 I've changed life, moving from a large northern Italy's city, Turin, to a village of the Reti's province: Magliano Sabina, 70km northward Rome. Me and my girlfriend Giulia, have started a self-production farming activity: we grow wheat, spelt, legumes, vegetables, olive and fruit trees, so that we can personally experiment our way to make a landscape!
We have many cats and two dogs: two marvellous white sheep dogs: "Lana" and "Bianca" that protect our crops from wildboars!
, the religious habits and the agricoltural practises! There is a connection between all the things we do and we love this.
Someone said: "a naturalist is a nature's curious one" and must be capable to interpret nature's signs.
